#Hashtag it. Highlight it. Circle it. Underline it....okay maybe double underline it...May 31st. May 31st isn't just any May 31st, it's graduation day (for GHS at least!). Something that is calling our names and is creeping around the corner wether any of us seniors would like to admit or not.
How would you define May 31st?
-Far away...
-Couldn't come any sooner!
-6 days after my 18th birthday!!
-Just another day in the books
-Get that awesome mini-deploma
or
-D-Day
I would call this prized day the end of a chapter. A chapter that is closing and where obviously a new one is beginning. For all of the seniors who read this we all know that SO much is going to occur in our lives between now and that bittersweet day. For some more events than others but just even the attempt to grasp the thought that I will be another year older, retire my FFA jacket, end my showing career as a junior, graduate the Texas FFA Ford Leadership Scholar class, finalize my Clays for a Cause Charity Project, be accepted to college and so so so much more is dumbfounding.
The other day I had a senior photoshoot and mom started the water works watching me take picture with all my FFA jackets lined up. For her it was solidifying a page in her book and the "ah-ha" moment came that Area V Convention is around the corner, my jacket will be proudly hung on that wooden coat rack and I'll take my last walk across the stage with my officer team. Thinking about it know is unbearable.
So stay tuned to keep up with me in my last 197 days of being a high school student. I will have tons of pictures to share soon from the most recent photoshoot, so get excited because you can bet yourself I am!!
